I haven’t wrote on here for a while.
First of all, happy Valentines Day. Unfortunately, i’m spending it alone as my boyfriend has work until 10pm and I have a 9am start tomorrow, but I got two Valentines cards from my lovely flatmates and i’ve spent the evening watching New Girl :D
As I haven’t posted for a while, here is an up to date about me:
Uni is going great. My course is extremely stressful and time-consuming. There have been times where I have wanted to quit, but i’m passing all of my units and even managed to scrape a couple of firsts!
Alongside that I have my own radio show on Nerve* radio, which is really exciting! Every Thursday at 11am you can listen to me ramble on about nothing in between songs picked by yours truly. I’m also the sub-editor of features on my universities newspaper, The Rock, and am part of the street dance societies elite dance group, Flowetix.
In my spare time (When I have any) I work on my beauty blog sophie-says.com, which is on it’s way to 3,000 hits .. i’m so proud of it! I’m currently splitting my time between Bournemouth and Southampton, as I still have my job and I want to come back every weekend to see my family, friends and Jason. Spending a lot of time social networking currently addicted to twitter and New Girl.
So yeah .. this is my life :)

Last night I finished the assignment that literally ruined my life for the past month. It’s made me cry, get angry and question whether I wanted to stay at uni. But it’s done :D I also handed in another assignment on Friday, which means I only have one more assignment from my news lecturer (But it’s only a 250-word story!) to give in for Monday. But for now… it’s done :)
And then, I got a message on facebook this morning from the leader of my uni’s dance group asking me to join them :) They’re amazing and elite level so I can’t believe I even got picked! I miss my old dance family so much, and it’s nice to be able to be part of another one.
I’m also going to London tomorrow on my day off to see my dad, and going to the cinema to see Breaking Dawn on Friday with Jason, cos strangely he likes the films too :)
I’m having a good day, please no one ruin it for me? xo

Oh how I do love coming home after a week at uni :) I don’t understand how people can go away in September and not go back until Christmas! It is a bit of a distraction when you’re used to working in your bedroom at uni and then coming back to your old room; you just want to sleep in a bed that’s double the size of your bed back at uni and enjoy the home comforts like slobbing infront of the sofa on your own.
I have work tomorrow, and then have Sunday afternoon off so Charlotte’s coming over with Alfie for a bit, then i’m off to town with my sister to get my ear stretched again :)
Now i’m just waiting for someone who is now 25 minutes late, and needs to get his bum here now .. thanks.
Have a good weekend guys xo

- Get up at 6.20
- Somehow carry 3 big bags on a bus and a train at 7.20
- Do some shorthand on the train
- Run to my flat and dump my bags
- Get to uni for 9am
- Go do some shopping at Asda in my 4 hour break
- Back to uni at 4-6pm
- Do some more shorthand and assignment research etc.
- Sleep.
Oh, what a day.

I went shopping at Asda for my weeks worth of food (Managed to spend £18.90 when my budget was £20!).
I then wrote to 5 different magazines for work experience, starting working on my shortahand and did some washing.
But I still need to get all my things ready for tomorrow and head to the Uni shop tomorrow before I start at 9 to get a spiral-bound notebook and pencil.
For just a crap day i’ve done well. Now for an episode of Lost and a roast dinner with my flatmates :)

So if my calculations are correct .. without my £240 a month i’ll be getting from work and the £1000 of my own money i’ve saved, I should have approx £350 a month to live off of! So that means if I make it £250 a month, i’ll have over £2000 saved for when I need deposit for a house next year :D
I need to run it through by my mum but it’s nice to know I won’t need to be skint throughout my first year. I’ve eaten well and even managed to buy myself some new clothes! I need to get myself another form of ID but I’m torn between paying the money for a provisional which I won’t use other than for ID or pay £12 for a PASS idea which i’m unsure that everywhere takes.
Oh my life.

I get to see my Charlotte and gorgeous little Alfie, then go out for lunch with my mum and sister.
THEN BACK TO B-TOWNNNN. Loving all the late nights, parties, cake baking and movie nights :D
Will miss certain people lots though :( Thank God for text.

But at the mo I’m loving every minute of uni. Get to still talk to everyone back home but I’m making friends with people in our flat and the guys opposite. Kitchen is a state ATM due to a small gathering ending up being very messy, but at least my room Is clean!

Working all day then getting a takeaway with someone later :) so nervous about moving in, but crazy excited!!

On Monday night I went out with my best friend Charlotte to a restaurant called Turtle Bay, which a caribbean place which also does 2-4-1 cocktails between 12-7pm.
We had amazing strawberry margheritas and apple & raspberry mojitos, and then I had calamari and a double dipped steak :) If that wasn’t enough, after having a wander around town we went into Bella Italia and split a massive Godfather icecream brownie sundae.
She also bought me a new charm for my Pandora bracelet (i’ll take a picture soon!) which symbolises hope, luck and faith. It’s really pretty and i’ll definately be adding onto my bracelet soon :)
Today I had the afternoon off so me and my mum went down to Benefit and had makeovers. My mums been a fan ever since I came back from my last makeover with Kim and she saw how different I looked. Once I told the sales assistant she’d never tried anything Benefit before, they went to town on her and she ended up spending £140 (which would have been £180 if not for my discount!!). I ended up buying the Sugarbomb blusher, and the new ‘They’re Real’ mascara.
Like I said before, pictures to follow :D

I want to wear them tomorrow but I don’t want them to hurt me!
I shall bring an extra pair of shoes in my bag just incase. Dilemma solved. Oh, white girl problems.
Btw i’m going to Thorpe Park tomorrow for Kim’s birthday. I can’t effing waittt! And I spent the day with Charlotte, her baby boy Alfie and our friend Tom. Was such a good day, but it was exhausting running around with a little kid who has bags of energy all day! I also went into town to buy a leaving present for Rossman and went to dance for two hours.
I’m shattered.

I went to Basingstoke with my mum and little sister and got spoilt rotten (Even though I offered to pay for everything like a thousand times!!), and went for lunch at this American diner there.
Later on in the evening my mum, older sister and I went to play bingo for my older sisters birthday outing as we had free tickets and I had the night off. I ended up spending £8 playing the boards and buying food, but then my older sister ended up winning £100 so I got £30 back :D
Annoyingly, I have work tomorrow but should hopefully have Thursday off aswell as Friday. Let’s hope this will be a good week.
